Partying like a regular guy...

Quinn's becoming quite the mini socialite lately with a constant stream of party invitations. I wish I were so popular!

On March 29, he went to his buddy Marcos' party. It was at Dave and Busters, but I learned that Quinn can't play pool. Well, I didn't want to risk having him beat me so we never tried. How embarrassing would that be?

These two met at daycare and were the 2 littlest guys in the room when Quinn first got there. Once they were both crawling, they became inseparable, wreaking havoc on all those immobile babies.

Unfortunately, Marcos moved on to a new daycare, but we managed to get them both back in touch.

Bubbles don't taste good.

Quinn has been experimenting with drinking bathrwater lately. I tried to show him how to blow bubbles when he decides to randomly stick his face in the water (I used to teach swim lessons as a summer job) but he doesn't always get it right. Usually he just sticks his face in, inhales a bunch of soapy water, gets pissed off, then tries it again. About every tenth time does he actually blow out instead of suck in. He'll get it. Someday. Until then, he's making for some totally cute and funny pictures of bubble beards:

I have always had a secret lust for economics.

However, the math can be a bit intimidating to a numero-phobe like myself and other people who are econ-erds also intimidate me with their eloquence in the subject matter, so I often back off. But I still thirst for that knowledge so I get kind of hooked on the opioid flood that comes from absorbing the information related to it.

Today, I came across a site that is dedicated to the intersect of parenting and economics. Having that practical application makes the concepts a lot more accessible and I enjoy reading this stuff, so I thought I'd share:

screws are loose

A bunch of screws have popped out of my laptop, the vehicle by which I process all the lovely photographs. I need to take it in for service before I further damage it (I have determined that this is not a DIY fix it job)

I have some move-in photos ready to go as well as a picture of Quinn's first kiss (Maddie) and the crying that ensued.

Quinn was all decked out in green yesterday for the big holiday, and we'll be sure to catch him looking cute in his totally awesome easter outfit this weekend. I don't think Eric likes the outfit much, but I think he would only be pleased with a bunny suit. Maybe next year. Maybe it can be a matching Daddy-Quinn set. I'll have to start on that now.

New house coming along

But unfortunately, I'm still digging my way through stuff and don't have time to get out the laptop and put the pictures in it. It's also broken. It's usable, but some screws popped out and I can't figure out how to fix it myself so it will need some service, too.

We hosted the grandparents this weekend, and last weekend, all my sisters and their broods (save 2 brooding teens) made their way over so it's been busy. We are also hosting Easter at our house so hopefully we'll at least have just shoved everything into the basement in a panic by then.

Quinn and I are both stricken with some foul stomach ill. I hope he doesn't feel as bad as I have been. I had heartburn for oh the past 5 or so days with a lot of nausea, and he's just had it coming out of both ends (not that you wanted to know, but I did not have "it" coming out of anywhere)

I really jut hope he hasn't been having the heartburn but I've been getting it so bad I can hardly move or sleep or anything. So now I'm scared to eat.
